From June 15 to August 27, 2021 inclusive, as a result of simplified customs clearance and taxation of more than 28 thousand cars with Euro plates, more than UAH 1 billion was transferred to the state budget.

According to Ukrinform, this is reported by the State Customs Service.

It is noted that these funds will be used to combat COVID-19, in particular vaccination.

Deputy Head of the State Customs Service Ruslan Cherkassky noted the mutual interest of various departments in the successful implementation of the laws on simplified registration of cars from June 15, 2021.

“The state will receive additional revenues to the budget, which are extremely important for the support of the medical system. At the same time, citizens who use cars with foreign registration can become their full owners in full compliance with current legislation, “Cherkassky said.

As Ukrinform reported, on June 15, 2021, the laws of Ukraine on temporary simplification of taxation and customs clearance of vehicles came into force. 180 calendar days are allotted for simplified customs clearance and taxation – until November 10, 2021.

For participants in hostilities who are directly on the territory of Operation Allied Forces (JOS) more than 90 days from the date of entry into force of the laws, the period is 270 calendar days – until February 8, 2022. The countdown is from the date of entry into force of the laws – May 15, and not from the date of entry into force – June 15, said the LCA.
