Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a telephone conversation on Monday with the United Kingdom Parliamentary Deputy Secretary of State, Minister for European Neighborhood and America, Wendy Morton. This was reported by the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry.

Accepting congratulations on the inauguration of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mirzoyan expressed the readiness of the Armenian side to develop cooperation with the United Kingdom in areas of mutual interest.

The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues of regional security and stability. Mirzoyan stressed that long-term and stable peace in the region can be achieved through a comprehensive solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship on the basis of well-known principles and elements. In turn, Morton noted that the United Kingdom supports the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group.
