Georgia’s economic recovery continued to gather pace as the country eased the majority of the restrictions it had imposed to curb the coronavirus pandemic.

The share of e-commerce in retail trade exceeded 1.1 trillion tenge ($2.5 billion) in the Central Asian country of 19 million people and reached 9.7 percent of the total retail turnover or 11.6 trillion tenge in 2020.

Natural gas production at the major Shah Deniz gas field was 10 billion standard cubic metres (bcm) in the first half, up from around 9.4 bcm in the same period last year.
