On September 30, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon received the Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov, who is on a working trip to Dushanbe.

At the meeting, Emomali Rahmon emphasized the close and important ties between the prosecutor’s offices of the countries within the framework of the strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Russia, the press service of the head of state said.

The parties discussed various aspects of cooperation in the field of ensuring security at the national, regional and global levels, crime prevention, including the fight against transnational organized crime, cybercrime, elimination of existing internal threats associated with the imposition of various radical religious ideologies in society, the message says.

In connection with the difficult situation in Afghanistan, the issue of combating terrorism and extremism, cooperation in the field of preventing drug smuggling was discussed.
