As of April 5, more than 900 agricultural producers have attracted loans from Ukrainian banks for a total of UAH 1 billion 785 million.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

It is noted that UAH 1.494 billion of the total amount were raised under the portfolio guarantee program for 80% of the loan amount.

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, among the leading regions in terms of attracting loans: Kirovohrad region (UAH 405 million, which is 22% of the total), Vinnytsia (UAH 365 million – 20.4%), Dnipropetrovsk (UAH 267 million – 14.9% ), Odessa (UAH 161 million – 9%), Lviv (UAH 159 million – 8%).

“The state has done everything to mitigate the risks of disruption of the sowing season as much as possible during the war. Lending to farmers is one of the main priorities of banks. The conditions for granting loans have been simplified as much as possible. Moreover, banks lend to our farmers even in those regions where there are battles, because it is necessary to sow, and even under such danger, people go out to their fields,” said Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Nikolai Solsky.
