Uzbekistan has increased responsibility for the destruction, destruction or damage to historical sites and monuments, a Podrobno.uz correspondent reports with reference to the Norma legal portal.
This is provided for by the law “On the introduction of amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the strengthening of the protection of objects of material cultural heritage”, which was signed by the President the day before.
The document provides for the transfer to the category of serious crimes of acts that cause significant damage to objects of this category, the establishment of responsibility for failure to fully and within the established time limits of the instructions of the Cultural Heritage Agency.
