Today, on August 30, Uzbekistan Airways sent the plane on its first flight on a new air transportation model – in the low-cost format. Low-cost flights will be operated under the Uzbekistan Airways Express brand.

The flight is timed to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan, as well as in pursuance of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the transition of Uzbekistan Airways JSC to a hybrid model of air transportation.

The airline’s management invited representatives of the capital’s media to the presentation of the first flight, where the essence of hybrid air transportation was explained.

The hybrid model of air transportation means that Uzbekistan Airways will operate flights in two modes, the classic version, which is familiar to passengers of Uzbekistan, and in the low-cost format.
