Gasoline prices in Russia from August 10 to 16 increased by 0.37% with a deflation of 0.01%. Over the past five weeks, gasoline also rose above the average price increase, according to the Rosstat website.
Since the beginning of August, the increase in the cost of gasoline has also exceeds inflation rate (0.71% against deflation of 0.03%), while since the beginning of the year the price has increased by 5.92%, which is higher than inflation of 4.48%.
Unlike gasoline, diesel prices are growing below inflation, but diesel has been rising above inflation for four weeks: last week, the growth was 0.22%. In August, the cost of diesel fuel in Russia increased by 0.52% with a deflation of 0.03%. Since the beginning of the year, this indicator has grown by 3.8% with inflation at 4.48%.
