All Russians who wished to get out of Afghanistan were evacuated. This was announced by the Russian Ambassador to Kabul Dmitry Zhirnov on the air of the TV channel “Russia 24”.
“Everyone who wanted to leave, left. We flew yesterday with four specially ordered aircraft, 360 people. These were the people who had not been able to leave since June, because our direct air channel, air route was interrupted for technical reasons” – told Zhirnov.
The evacuation was prepared by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. On each board were doctors, necessary medicines and equipment, drinking water and food kits.
They had to take out the citizens of Russia due to the fact that the Taliban (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) seized Afghanistan. Their goal is to establish strict Sharia norms in the country. Those who collaborated with foreigners or fought on the side of former President Ashraf Ghani suffer from their actions. Women face particular limitations in their rights.
