Ukroboronprom increased production by 24% in the past year-UKRINFORM.UA

Ukroboronprom’s enterprises in 2021 increased the production of weapons, military equipment and other products by 24% compared to 2020.

Yuriy Gusev, General Director of the State Concern Ukroboronprom, announced this in his  blog  for Ukrinform.

According to him, “for 12 months of last year the Concern’s enterprises produced UAH 7.6 billion more than in 2020. Most of the aircraft (including modernization, repair and services provided) were manufactured.

“Production of high-precision weapons and ammunition has also increased: if in 2020 the volume of production amounted to UAH 6.4 billion, in 2021 – UAH 8.6 billion. This is UAH 2.2 billion or 34% more than last year, ”Gusev said.

In addition, in 2021 the production of naval equipment increased by 19%: UAH 4.6 billion compared to UAH 3.9 billion in 2020.

“The increase in the volume of manufactured products and services provided is also observed at the enterprises of radar, radio communication and special instrument making – + 7% compared to 2020: UAH 2.8 billion against UAH 2.6 billion,” the CEO added.

Production of armored vehicles last year remained at the level of 2020 – UAH 5.7 billion.

Other areas of production, including civilian products, account for more than UAH 1.5 billion.

In total, the Concern’s enterprises manufactured, modernized, restored and repaired more than 3,300 weapons and military equipment last year.
