The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has developed a new version of the order on the military registration of women and sent it for approval to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

This is stated in the press service of the department.

In particular, the new order defines 14 specialties and 6 professions, the acquisition and receipt of which involves military registration. These specialties and professions are related to about 100 military accounting specialties, while previously it was about 35 specialties, combining more than 200 specialties.

“The logic of the new version is as follows: with the help of military accounting, we must not only meet the current needs of the army, but also take care of the development of the Armed Forces. relevant in the foreseeable future “, – explained the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov.

According to him, this has significantly reduced the list of specialties and professions that require military registration of women at this stage.

“Accordingly, it will allow us to calmly and without fuss to organize and ensure the accounting of certain groups, analyze the results and move on,” said Reznikov.

These are mainly specialties and professions in the field of medicine, electronics, communications, metrology and cartography, finance, accounting and auditing, etc. The final list will be approved after obtaining approvals from other agencies. The draft order also includes a mechanism for reviewing this list.

“The General Staff of the Armed Forces will have the opportunity to make changes to the list if necessary and urgent needs – perhaps some specialties will lose relevance or some new ones will appear. 10 therefore it was not considered as something actual “, – Reznikov noted.

Thus, the Ministry of Defense plans to make accounting rhythmic and planned.

“At the same time, we are working on improving the registration procedure itself. Everything that can be digitized, pulled from the registers, done remotely – will be done. This process has already been launched,” said the Minister.

Reznikov also clarified the situation regarding the application of fines to women who must register for military service in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Defense of October 11, 2021.
