The agreement between the United States and Germany to complete the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline will be a disaster for the United States.

This is stated in a statement by a Republican Senator from Texas Ted Cruz, UNIAN reported.

According to the senator, the launch of the pipeline will be a geopolitical victory for Russian President Vladimir Putin for generations to come and a catastrophe for US allies.

“President Biden is challenging US law and has completely surrendered to Putin. Dictators will continue to reap billions from Biden’s gift, and Europe will continue to be subject to Russian energy blackmail,” the senator said.
