The South Caucasus country's Economy Ministry has presented a project, which envisages the allocation of loans of up to 10 million lari ($3.2 million) to companies focused on exports.

The agency said that the bank would likely maintain its stable funding profile and liquidity position as it remained an important financial institution for the government.

Belarus's economy returned to growth in the first quarter of this year, at 0.9 percent, after contracting by 0.9 percent in 2020, despite shocks from the oil sector, pandemic and political developments.

Gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 12.2 percent year-on-year in January-July after contracting 5.8 percent in the same period last year.

Revenues from the operations of oil trunk pipelines, including the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, amounted to 633.3 million manats, while income from the operations of the main gas pipelines rose by 49 percent year-on-year to 873.1 million manats.
