Ukraine convenes an urgent meeting with Russia and the rest of the countries participating in the Vienna Document on the concentration of Russian troops near Ukraine and in the occupied territories.

This was announced on Twitter by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba.

The Foreign Minister stressed that Russia had not provided data on its troops during the 48 hours previously allocated under the Vienna Document.

“Russia has not responded to our request for the Vienna Document. We are taking the next step. Ukraine is convening a meeting with Russia and all member states within the next 48 hours to discuss strengthening and moving Russian troops along our border and in the temporarily occupied Crimea,” Kuleba wrote. .

He added that “if Russia takes seriously its words about the indivisibility of security in the OSCE area, it must fulfill its commitment to military transparency in order to reduce tensions and strengthen security for all member states.”

What preceded

The day before  , Ukraine asked the Russian Federation to provide detailed explanations on military activities in the areas adjacent to the territory of our country and in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

According to the provisions of the Vienna Document, the Russian Federation must provide the exact areas of military activity, announce the date of its completion, as well as the name, subordination, number of military formations; also the types of weapons and military equipment involved, Kuleba said.
