The United States has pledged $25 million to help improve access to nuclear power in Ukraine and other countries as a viable form of clean energy in the transition away from fossil fuels.

Uzbekistan’s state-owned oil and gas company Uzbekneftegaz will issue an international bond worth up to $700 million to diversify foreign financial sources and transform the country’s energy system.

The transition will require reforms in the policies of the country’s key economic industries, including the introduction of energy efficiency and energy conservation measures.
