Kyrgyzstan's National Security Committee, the GKNB, said that Askar Akayev had been "delivered" to the capital Bishkek.

The plant will generate 260 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.

The French company is to invest 315 million euros of its own funds, while 1.08 billion euros is to come during the project implementation.
